Where Lalique’s timeless elegance meets the refined universe of the Maya Hotel.
Adeline Lunati, Director of the Lalique Interior Design Studio, reveals a creation imbued with sensitivity, poetry, and allure.
How did the project come to life?
The project was born from the mutual trust between Mr. Pastor and Sylvestre Murigneux, nurtured by the Maya team, already enchanted by Lalique’s signature DNA. Their curiosity and open-minded approach allowed them to imagine a vision that is both singular and exquisitely exclusive, resulting in a creation that seamlessly blends artistry, elegance, and innovation.
Upon entering, a breathtaking chandelier immediately draws attention.
What is the story behind this masterpiece?
It features a bouquet of 39 crystal anemones gilded in gold, a reinterpretation of the traditional floral arrangements found in luxury palaces. This flower, designed by René Lalique in 1931, was originally created as a delicate ornament for a dressing table. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics and the Alpine surroundings of Courchevel, this centerpiece immerses visitors in a refined and enchanting atmosphere.
How does the emotional experience unfold throughout the spaces?
Throughout the rooms and suites, Lalique creations have been thoughtfully chosen to infuse the hotel’s minimalist yet welcoming design with artistry and poetry.
The Maya Hotel hosts an exclusive Lalique Suite and Apartment.
What makes them so unique?
The Lalique Suite is a true haven of refinement, embodying the Maison’s art of living and elegance. It is enhanced by 23 pieces—lamps, sconces, mirrors, and more—drawn from our collections. The Apartment, meanwhile, spans the 4th and 5th floors and captivates with a collection of luminous Swallows majestically suspended in the private staircase. This installation evokes an open aviary, where light and crystal dance in perfect harmony.
